Workflow
- 1
Add a base resume
Start from LaTeX source or use the product import path for a PDF or DOCX resume. Inspect imported content before optimizing.
- 2
Provide the job description
Paste the role you are targeting. ResumeTeX compares this text with the resume you selected.
- 3
Choose options
Select a quality tier and, if useful, request a cover letter, cold email, or EU photo CV.
- 4
Review the result
Inspect the before-and-after diff, verify every fact, and compile the LaTeX result.
- 5
Export
Keep the editable .tex source and download the compiled PDF.
Inputs and outputs
Inputs
- LaTeX source
- PDF resume import
- DOCX resume import
- Job-description text
- Optional custom instructions and photo
Outputs
- Editable .tex source
- Compiled PDF
- Visible before-and-after diff
- Optional cover-letter draft
- Optional cold-email draft
Import quality depends on the structure of the source document. Confirm headings, dates, employers, skills, and contact fields after importing a PDF or DOCX file.
Credits and quality
New accounts receive 3 credits once. They do not refill daily. ResumeTeX uses server-managed model credentials, so you do not provide an OpenAI, Anthropic, or other model API key.
| Tier | Cost | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Lite | 1 credit | A faster, lower-cost optimization. |
| Standard | 1 credit | The default balance of quality and speed. |
| Pro | 3 credits | A higher-cost model path for more involved work. |
The Pro plan adds 150 credits each billing period. That supports up to 150 Lite or Standard runs, or 50 Pro-quality runs. One-time packs do not expire. Confirm the current amount charged on the live pricing page.
View live pricingATS analysis
A ResumeTeX match result, not a universal ATS score
The analyzer compares the submitted resume with the submitted job description. It reports a versioned breakdown of keyword match, sections, formatting signals, and related criteria from the ResumeTeX rubric.
- It does not run Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, or another employer's private configuration.
- It does not know recruiter preferences, knockout questions, referrals, or the candidate pool.
- A higher result does not guarantee that an application will be parsed, reviewed, or selected.
- A missing keyword is a prompt to investigate, not permission to add experience you do not have.
Review and limitations
Review every output
AI output can be incorrect. Confirm names, employers, titles, dates, metrics, technologies, education, and contact details. Remove any statement you cannot defend in an interview.
ResumeTeX is designed to keep changes reviewable through the diff and editable source. That is a safeguard and workflow choice, not an absolute promise that every possible output is factually correct or compiles without review.
Privacy boundary
Resume and job-description content is processed to deliver the requested service. That content, along with names, emails, phone numbers, addresses, filenames, and employer history, must not be sent to Google Analytics or PostHog.
